In the vamachara tantric tradition, this form of the deity is adored to attain siddhi for performing Shatkriya or shatkarma which purifies the human body. Ucchistha Ganapati is one of the forms of Lord Ganesha and is depicted with red complexion and six arms. He is seated in Padmadsana (lotus position in yoga) along with his consort (Shakti). Karthika Nakshatra is associated with this form of Lord Ganesha.

The Vamtantra Sadhaks attain Riddhi (material welfare) and Siddhi (spiritual prosperity) and gain control over the 5 senses by worshipping and praising this form of the Lord. According to Tantra Shastra, Ucchistha Ganapati can be worshipped during any time of the day. There are no rules related to the worship of the elephant-headed deity.
