Ucchistha Ganapati Puja is a religious tantric ritual conducted for performing Yogic practices. In the vamachara tantric tradition, this form of the deity is adored to attain siddhi for performing Shatkriya or shatkarma which purifies the human body. Ucchistha Ganapati is one of the forms of Lord Ganesha and is depicted with red complexion and six arms. He is seated in Padmadsana (lotus position in yoga) along with his consort (Shakti). Karthika Nakshatra is associated with this form of Lord Ganesha.
