Troy Costa, Indian Fashion DesignerTroy Costa is an Indian fashion designer based in Mumbai, who owns the Troy Costa menswear label from the year 2007. Understated and chic, his interpretation of fashion is the embodiment of subtle glamour which is always balanced by the right choice of fabrics. His collection brings out not only his artistic sensibilities but also his technical finesse. In 2014, he was hired for designing wardrobe for Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India. Recently, he won an award from Hindustan Times for `Mumbai`s Most Stylish 2015`.

Early Life of Troy Costa
Troy Costa was born in the year 1975 and was brought up in Mumbai. He grew up in a Catholic family. His father is Goan, while his mother is Portuguese.

Career of Troy Costa
While pursuing his Fashion Degree, several offers came along to design for top notch Bollywood film stars. He started his career in 2003, designing women wear, though gradually he shifted to menswear. Over the years, he has designed clothes for 35 Bollywood films and Bollywood actors including Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Ayushmann Khurrana and Vir Das, besides various sports and business personalities.

At the 2013 autumn-winter Lakme India Fashion Week, he received acclaim for his menswear. In 2014, the newly appointed Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi appointed Troy Costa for wardrobe change for PM"s first important overseas visit, to the BRICS summit in Brazil and subsequent US visit. Troy Costa has also been exclusively roped in for designing the looks for hosts of TV shows in channels like Zee TV, MTV India, Sony TV, Colors and Star Plus. One of his hugely successful stints was being designing for Shaan on the popular show "Amul Voice of India".
