Triveni Ghat, the confluence of Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswathi rivers, is the biggest ghat in Rishikesh. Thousands of devotees visit this ghat to take a holy dip in it. They also float diyas with flower petals and leaves on this ghat and some also take a boat ride along the Ganges River. There is a belief that Triveni Ghat was visited by Lord Krishna when he got hurt by the arrow of Jara (hunter). Triveni Ghat is also considered to be the cremation ground of Lord Krishna. This ghat is also used to perform the last rites and rituals of the dead ones. Ganga Aarti with Vedic mantra (chants) is the special attraction of this ghat. Gita Mandir, Bharat Mandir and Lakshminarayan Temple are the nearest tourist attractions of Triveni Ghat.

Jolly Grant Airport and Rishikesh Railway Station are the nearest to the ghat. National Highway 19 connects Rishikesh to other major cities of India.
