Khongjom
Located at a distance of nearly 10 kilometers to the southern part of Thoubal, Khongjom is a famous historical site which is significant for being the region where the last battle for the independence of Manipur was fought against the British armies. The National Highway serves Khongjom and a war memorial has been constructed to mark this place.

Sugnu
Sugnu is existent at a distance of about 74 kms from Imphal and is a crucial trading spot on the southern part of Thoubal district. It is based on the Imphal-Sugnu State Highway and tourists can relish spectacular view of the Imphal River from this site.

Waithou
Waithou is quite reputed for its breathtaking natural beauty and delicious pineapples. In the olden days, food lovers gorged on the `Ngaton` fish, a regional fish which was formed a famous cuisine of Waithou even a few years ago. This region is situated on the National Highway and is 3 km away from the district headquarters.

Kakching
Kakching is an important trading centre where numerous varieties of vegetables, fishes and rice are available and traded. One can access Kakching from the National Highway. This place is the sub-divisional headquarters of the subdivion of Kakching. It is also linked to the other State highways.

Thoubal
It is located at a distance of nearly 22 kms from Imphal and is divided by the National Highway No. 39. It is renowned for being the biggest town in Manipur and is a steadily growing urban region. Like Kakching, Thoubal district is also a significant trade centre.

Pallel
Pallel is located on the border of Chandel and Thoubal districts and forms a point of intersection of the hilly regions of Chandel and the plains of Thoubal. Pallel is surrounded by picturesque hills and rivers, which imparts a unique aura to this place. Local handicrafts manufactured by the regional inhabitants of Pallel and some agricultural products are the major attractions of Pallel.
