Thathawata

Thathawata is a small village located in Churu district in Indian state of Rajasthan

Thathawata , a very small village of Rajasthan is in the Ratangarh tehsils.View of sand dunes are the only worth seen in this village.

History of Rajasthan
After the defeat of the last Hindu king of Delhi, Prithvi Raj Chauhan III, in the second battle of Tarain in the year 1192, the Jats of his army moved to countryside and settled as cultivators at various region of India. One such Jat soldier that of a Bhadia clan founded the village Thathawata. The Bhadia clan Jats had also settled in villages like Banthod and Rol, which are at present comes under Sikar district of Rajasthan.

Geography Of Rajasthan
Thathawata is located at 28°5`N, 74°46`E.The climatic condition is very harsh and extreme. In summer the temperature goes to 50°C and in winter it falls down to even 0°C. The annual rainfall is very low of the scale of 25cm.

Economy Of Rajasthan
ThathawataThe main occupation of the village is agriculture. Few are in Army and other few people are in Arab countries. Maximum percentage of people belongs to retired and old age group. Among young villagers seven persons are teachers, one is advocate and one is an officer belongs to All India Services.

Demographics Of Rajasthan
As per 2001 Census, there are 2500 people, of which 1105 are adults. There are 350 families residing in the village. Out of these 175 families are of Bidawat Rajputs, 100 families are Jats and 75 families are of other casts.

Temple
All people belong to Hindu religion so there are total four temples, one is of Thakurji, the other two are of Goddess Mawali and last one is of Gogaji.
