Tajpur

Tajpur is a gorgeous sea beach, situated in Purba Medinipur district of West Bengal. It spreads over the shore of Bay of Bengal between Sankarpur and Mandarmoni. Reaching the beach at Tajpur takes about 3.5 to 4 hours from Kolkata irrespective of the mode of transport. There are plenty of bus services towards Digha from different part of Kolkata besides The main bus terminus at Esplanade. The tourists are to get down at Balisai a place between Kanthi and Digha. From Balisai, shared motorised rickshaw van carries 6-10 passengers to Tajpur in 10 mins. From Howrah all Digha bound trains except Duranto Express, halt for a minute at Ramnagar station.
