Swapnil Joshi is a well known talent of the television industry was born and brought up in the `city of dreams` Mumbai on 18th October. He did his schooling from Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Parsee Charitable Institution, Charni Road. He completed his graduation in the stream of commerce from Sydehnam College in Mumbai. He is also a qualified lawyer.
He started his career at a very young age when he was nine in Uttar Ramayana in the year 1986 as young Kush. Then he acted in the lead of Krishna in the year 1993. After this for a long time he was not seen but h came back with Sanjeev Bhattacharya`s Campus. Then he acted in one Marathi serial named Adhuri Ek Kahani. But h captured the eye of everyone with the role of Sam. His performances in the other soaps include Amanat (1997), Hudd Kar Di (1999), Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, a highly popular soap which ran from 2001 to 2005 and Dil Vil Pyar Vyar with Deven Verma, along with a cameo in the Nana Patekar starrer Gulam-E-Mustafa (1997).
His performance in Comedy Circus season 1 was outstanding. He enacted the role of Rakhi Sawant. Later, he also took part in the Season 3 Kaante Ki Takkar and Season 6 - Maha Sangram (2010).
He won the Mr. & Ms. TV (2008) on Sony TV, a reality contest show of best TV actor, along with Purbi Joshi. In 2006, he appeared on Sachin`s Kadvee Khatee Meethi on Star One, and three years later returned to sitcom with NDTV Imagine`s Ghar Ki Baat Hai (2009).At the same time he acted in Hindi-comedy play, Tea, Coffee or Me" (2006), along with actors, Sunil Barve and Ritu Chaudhary.
He anchored the TV reality series, Ladies Special a stand-up comedy show for female comedians on Zee TV (2007) and Chota Packet Bada Dhamaka (2008). In July 2010, his first Marathi film, Mumbai Pune Mumbai, as a solo lead along side Mukta Barve, was released.
