Surveen Chawla is a television actress born in Chandigarh, Punjab. She belongs to a Punjabi-khatri family and her family is settled in Gurgaon. Her father and brother are businessmen. She wanted to pursue career in medicine but later took up commerce in 12th and ended up graduating in arts. After completing her graduation in Mass Communication she came to Mumbai to live with her uncle and aunty.
Surveen Chawla made her debut in the serial `Kahin To Hoga.` In the serial she portrayed the role of Charu, one of the sisters of the female protagonist. Surveen Chawla had picked lots of appreciation from audience for her role in the serial. She next played the role of KAsak in the popular serial `Kasautii Zindagi Kay.` In the serial she played the role of daughter of Prerna, the female protagonist. Surveen Chawla got her lead role in the serial `Kaajjal.` Apart from serials Surveen Chawla also took part in the reality dance show `Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena`, where she paired up with Indian cricketer S. Sreesanth. She has also hosted the show `Comedy Circus ke Superstars` on Sony TV Channel. Surveen Chawla is also credited with endorsing several famous brands and also appeared in commercials, magazine covers and print advertisements. Other than serials Surveen Chawla has done few Bollywood and South Indian movies.
