Suniel Shetty, Bollywood ActorSuniel Shetty was born on 11th August 1961 in the Mulki region near Mangalore, Karnataka. He is born in a Tulu speaking Bunt family. The actor has a chain of hotels and a cloth boutique names Mischief. He even holds a black belt in Full Contact Kick Boxing. Suniel achieved recognition and fame in the 1990s with his daring stunts in his popular action movies. He is married to Mana and has two children named Atiya and Aahan.

Career of Suniel Shetty
Suniel Shetty debuted in the movie Balwaan with Divya Bharti in 1992. The movie was an average hit. He next ventured into two hit movies, Anth and Waqt Hamara Hai in 1993. Suniel Shetty, Bollywood ActorHe gave his first blockbuster hit with the movie Mohra in 1994 along with Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon. In the same year he starred in movies Dilwale and Gopi Kishen. Both the movies did well at the box office. Suniel Shetty was mainly associated with action movies and came to be known as an action hero. He has acted in many other movies like, Suraksha (1995), Takkar (1995) and Rakshak (1996), Bhai (1997). For his commendable role in J.P.Dutta`s Border he even received a Filmfare nomination. He is also credited with starring in movies such as Dhadkan (2000), Refugee (2001), Qayamat: City Under Threat (2003) and LOC: Kargil (2003). He proved his flair for comedy in movies like Hera Pheri (2000), Awara Paagal Deewana (2002), Phir Hera Pheri (2006), Bhagam Bhag (2006) and De Dana Dan (2009). All the movies were well received by the audiences and won him many nominations. He has also won accolades for his portrayal of a villainous role in the blockbuster hit movie Main Hoon Na starring Shahrukh Khan. The ace actor has also appeared in an English movie Don`t Stop Dreaming in 2007 and the Tamil film 12B.

Apart from acting Suniel Shetty has also set up his own production company, Popcorn Motion Pictures Ltd. Under the production house he has produced movies like Khel (2003), Rakht: What If You Can See the Future and Bhagam Bhag (2006).The other achievements of Suniel Shetty include his television debut with the Indian version of the most popular American reality show The Biggest Looser. He has enacted the role of an anchor in this show titled as Biggest Loser Jeetega on Sahara One.

Awards and Honours of Suniel Shetty
In 2000 Suniel won the Filmfare Best Villain Award for Dhadkan. In 2009 he got the SAIFF Award for Best Actor for Red Alert: The War Within and in the 2011 Stardust Search Light Award he got the Best Actor for Red Alert: The War Within.
