By means of powerhouse performances Sonali Sachdeva has successfully manage to create a niche for herself in the television industry. She has many popular soaps to her credit. A penchant for theater is what she shares in common with most of her colleagues. She started her career as an orthodontist and has been around in the television industry for a score of years. In the initial stages she was very much skeptical in having switched her career but now she is suited to the long shooting shifts and the tiring days.

Her most memorable performance still now is in the hugely hit show `Baa Bahu Aur Bahu` where she plays the young and understanding doctor, daughter-in-law and mother. She plays the wife of Harshad Thakkar (played by Jamnadas Majethia) who is the fourth child of the family.
