Smita Bansal, Indian TV ActressSmita Bansal is an Indian television actress who has also worked in Bollywood movie. She essayed the role of Purnima Gujral in the Sony Television`s popular show `Yeh Meri Life Hai`. She was also seen in the Zee Television`s popular show `Piya Ka Ghar` where she matured from a young girl to a mother with kids. She has also acted in other popular soaps like `Amanat`, `Koi Apna Sa` and `Sarhadein`, Alpaviram, Kora Kagaz, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Itihaas, Twinkle Beauty Parlour and Desh Mein Nikala Hoga Chand. She came to Mumbai in the year 1997 from Delhi. Having done a workshop with Kishore Namit Kapoor, this beautiful girl did her debut in Ekta Kapoor`s Itihaas. Smita has done lots of pilots for various producers and in the long span has acted in more than twenty serials.

Smita Bansal has also worked in the popular detective serial C.I.D. Her character portrayal of Aditi in this soap was very engaging. Currently she is working in Balika Vadhu in Colors where she essays the role of a mother of a boy.

On the personal front Smita Bansal is happily married in Ankush Mohala of the Glen-Ankush director duo. The couple have a daughter named Stasha. Her fans have accepted her gladly in all the roles that she played.
