Shruti Seth, Indian TV ActressShruti Seth, the model turned VJ and actress was born on 18th December 1977. Shruti is born and brought up in Mumbai itself. Did her schooling in Ashok Academy and graduated from St. Xaviers College in Economics and Commerce. She started her career as the Guest Relation Executive in Taj Hotel, and then took interest in modelling. Her television career began with hosting a few programmes. Shruti was also seen in commercials like Clean and Clear moisturiser, TATA Home Finance, Ponds Talc, Frooti, Lifebuoy Soap, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, LG, Airtel, Mrs. Marino Hair Softener, Stayfree Secure, Dominos and many others. Her debut serial was `Thriller at 10`. Soon after it she was offered roles in Desh Main Nikla Hoga Chand. She also worked in other serials such as Kyun Hota Hai Pyaar, Mann, Josh and Mum Tum Aur Hum. She got house hold fame with her role as Jia in Shararat- Thodi Jaadu Thodi Nazaakat, a sitcom. For Channel V, India she hosted First day First show and Junglee Jukebox. She has also hosted few talent shows like Kuch Kar Dikhana Hai, Bollywood Cutting and Comedy Circus.

Shruti has also acted in movies. She got more popularity with her role as Fatty (Fatima) in Kunal Kohli`s movie Fanaa along side Aamir Khan and Kajol. Though it was a very small role but came with a great impact. She also acted in Waisa Bhi Hota Hai-2, Tara Rum Pum with Saif Ali Kahn and Rani Mukherjee and in Prakash Jha`s flick Rajneeti with Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai, Ajay Devgan, Ranbir Kapoor and others. In the Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire (2008), she played a call centre trainer.
