Shahrukh`s first television serial Fauji Shahrukh`s, the King Khan of Bollywood had his success of the television with the serial `Fauji` and `Circus.` It was during this serial that Kahn was selected for the Bollywood film `Deewana`. His commendable acting in the multi starrer movie won him first FilmFare Award. The year 1993 proved to be very successful as both of his films Darr and Baazigaar ruled the box office charts for a considerable span of time. He even won accolades for his role in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa and Anjaam. In the year 1995 he starred in the directorial debut of Aditya Chopra`s, `Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge`. The movie was a huge hit and even entered the twelfth year in the theaters of Mumbai grossing over an amount of 12 billion.

Khan is credited with delivering several of Blockbusters like, Yash Chopra`s Dil To Pagal Hai, Subhash Ghai`s Pardes, Karan Johar`s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khusi Kabhie Gham, Kaal Ho Na Ho and Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna, Mohabbatein, Mansoor Khan`s Josh, Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s Devdas, Yash Chopra`s Veer-Zaara, Ashutosh Gowariker`s Swadesh, Farah Khan`s Om Shanti Om and Main Hoon Na and many more.
