Early Life and Education of Sanjay Mishra
He was born on 6th October 1963 into a Hindu family in Patna in the Bihar state of India. His father, Shambhu Nath Mishra, was a journalist.

After receiving his graduation degree, Mishra joined National School of Drama. There he bonded strongly with powerhouse talents like Tigmanshu Dhulia, Nirmal Pandey, and Irrfan Khan.

Career of Sanjay Mishra
At the outset, Mishra was seen in various commercials and small movie roles. His big break arrived when he got the opportunity to appear in a Mirinda commercial with one of the most influential actors in the history of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan. His first release was "Oh Darling! Yeh Hai India!" in 1995 where he was seen enacting a small part of a harmonium player.

His next releases "Satya" and "Dil Se" helped him bag the role of Shukla in the Hindi-language television sitcom "Office Office". For the next few years he went on to appear mainly in serials before focusing on films completely.

Then he again appeared in films like "Bunty Aur Babli" and "Apna Sapna Money Money". His roles in the films made him earn recognition after which in 2005 Mishra left Television Serials.

Sanjay Mishra, Indian Comedian The year 2006, saw him in two back to back hit films including "Golmaal: Fun Unlimited" and "Dhamaal". Over the next few years, he appeared in small roles in many multi-starer big banner films.

Mishra achieved nationwide fame for his role as RGV in "All the Best: Fun Begins" and "Phas Gaye Re Obama". His dialogue "Dhondu Just Chill" gained immense popularity.

He has also acted in Bhojpuri cinema. His only Bhojpuri release till date is "Rang Li Chunariya Tere Naam".

In addition to comedy roles, he was also seen in serious parts. As a serious actor, he proved his mettle in films like "Ankhon Dekhi", "Zameen", "Charas", "Plana" and "Satya". Though Mishra had appeared in many serious films yet he is known for his comic acts.

•In 2014, he was declared "Best Actor" (Ankhon Dekhi) in Jagran Film Awards.
•In 2011, he won the title of "Best Actor in a Comic Role" (Phas Gaye Re Obama) in star screen awards.
•In 2011, he was honoured with the title of "Best Actor in a Comic Role" (Phas gaye Re Obama) in Indian TV Honours Golden Globe awards.
•He was also nominated as "Best Comedian" in various functions including Zee Cine Awards (Phas Gaye Re Obama), Film fare awards (All the Best), Starscreen Awards (All the Best) and Apsara awards (Aloo Chaat).
