Sahithya Jagannathan is an Indian model, actress and freelance journalist. She won the Vivel Miss Chennai beauty pageant in 2009 and later represented India in the World Miss University beauty pageant held in Seoul, Korea in 2010, winning the Miss Speech title. She has subsequently worked as a model, having walked the ramp for well known designers and brands. She ventured into movies in 2012, having worked in a few Tamil and Telugu films.

Born on July 11, 1989 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Sahithya Jagannathan completed her schooling at Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School and earned a degree in journalism at MOP Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai, alongside simultaneously balancing modelling commitments.
Modelling Career of Sahithya Jagannathan
Sahithya Jagnnathan was crowned the Monarch Universal Femina Miss Lifestyle title. After winning the Miss Chennai 2009 title, Sahithya Jagannathan represented India in the World Miss University international beauty contest, held annually in Seoul, South Korea, in 2010 where she won the Miss Speech title and finished in the 6th place. She simultaneously balanced her modelling assignments with her graduation. As a model, she has walked the ramp for the Chennai International Fashion Week, Season 1 and Season 3. She has also featured in ramp shows for well known Indian designers, the likes of Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Rehane, Ritu Kumar and for prominent brands such as Volkswagen, Wrangler, Reebok, Toni & Guy and GRT Jewellery. Sahithya was short listed into Femina Miss India 2014"s Top 25 contestants.
Film Career of Sahithya Jagannathan
Sahithya made her film debut in the year 2012, with Gautham Menon"s Tamil-Telugu bilingual romance film titled "Neethane En Ponvasantham" in Tamil and "Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu" in Telugu, portraying a friend of the female protagonist Nithya during her school days. R. Parthiban subsequently signed her for a leading role in his Tamil directorial venture "Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam", which released in August 2014. The film, where Sahithya portrayed an assistant director named Shirley, received positive reviews and performed well at the box office. She was also seen featuring in the 2015 Tamil film "Andhadhi", playing the role of a police officer.
