The garden is famous for its lush green lawns, marble art and fountains.

History of Saheliyon ki Bari
Designed by King Rana Sangram Singh as a gift to the queen, who was accompanied by 48 maids in her marriage, the Saheliyon ki Bari or the Garden of the Maidens is a patterned garden which used to be the popular relaxing spot for the royal ladies. The garden was named to commemorate the time spent by the queen and her lady companions in the garden in leisure. The garden is embellished with numerous fountains built by Maharana Bhopal Singh in its four water pools, along with chiselled kiosks and marble elephants. The Saheliyon ki Bari is also celebrated for its lotus pool and bird-fountains. The lush green lawns, flowerbeds, and marble pavilions further enhance the ambience of this magnificent garden.

Other than these, the garden also houses a museum which exhibits the huge collection of royal households with a number of ancient classic pictures and things of the bygone era. The museum also displays soft stuffed toys of cobras and other animals which also interests the tourists. The crystalloid fountains, lotus pool, marbled elephants sprinkling water and many more attractions provide truly a picturesque sight to behold thus making the garden a famous tourist attraction in the city.

The Udaipur Railway Station is the closest to the Garden of the Maidens at a distance of about 5 km whereas the Maharana Pratap Airport is at a distance of 25 km from the garden.
