This actor is a personality, who is usually seen in grave roles, however recently he is also seen as a villain and hero in some films. He is best known as Feluda, the protagonist of Satyajit Ray`s adventure, and thriller series of `Feluda`. His acting talent is adorned all over the India.

Early life of Sabyasachi Chakraborty
Sabyasachi Chakraborty was born to Jagadish Chandra Chakraborty and Monica Chakraborty. He was lovingly called as Benu by near and dear ones. He completed his schooling from Delhi`s Andrews College and earned the B.Sc degree from Delhi`s famous Hans Raj College. He passed the AMI examination from Delhi in 1978.

Career of Sabyasachi Chakraborty
Sabyasachi made his debut in acting in Tapan Sinha`s Antardhan in the year 1992. After this he mostly acted in numerous television serials. Tero Parbon was noteworthy among them. His work in this serial was much acclaimed. His role as Feluda in "Jotokando Kathmandutei," "Baksho Rahashya," "Bombaiyer Bombete", "Kailashey Kelenkari", "Tintorettor Jishu" and "Gorosthaney Sabdhan" have reinforced his acting talent in Satyajit Ray`s Feluda series. Sabyasachi Chakraborty showed his potential in acting through thriller films like Bombaiyer Bombete and Baksha Rahasya. He is also recognised for his roles in Sweth Pathorer Thala, Mahulbanir Sereng and Nishijapon.

He also appeared in elderly roles with charisma in films like Parineeta, Namesake and Dil Se. He was involved with the Charbak Theatre Group in 1983.

Personal Life of Sabyasachi Chakraborty
Sabyasachi got married to Mithu Chakraborty, a popular face in Bengali entertainment industry in 1986. The couple is blessed with two sons Gourav and Arjun. Both of his sons are doing very good job as upcoming actors.

Awards and Recognitions of Sabyasachi Chakraborty
Sabyasachi won several awards. He was conferred with the BFJA award in the years 1995, 1996, 2000, 2003 and 2005. He received Anandalok Awards as best actor for the film Ek Je Aachhe Kanya in 2002 and again for Bombaiyer Bombete in 2004. He has received many other awards including the 2nd International Indo-Bangladesh Kala Music Award. Apart from this he received various recognitions as a brilliant actor.

Sabyasachi Chakraborty is one of the most respected names in the domain of Bengali art film; he has traversed a long path of success through his acting career in both theatre and films.
