It is a story completely based on the campus life. After stepping into the big bad world dealing with practical complexities, the memories of those sweet and innocent times seems to fade away. Sometimes those cherishable moments gets jigged before the eyes and gets one laced with the old cycle of moments spreading spongy smile on the lips.
This soap is churned in by the Sahara One channel to depict this sugarcoated phase in the life of every individual. Any character one names it, the serial presents it. Saath Rahega Always is the journey of Peehu (played by Neha Marda), Krish (played by Karan Rai) and Soham who have been friends for a long time. Though they are quite different in their nature and have different goals set for their individual lives, they are still very close to each other and spend most of their time together in the college canteen at `table no. 7`. The overall aim of the show promised to be an emotional drama that connected with the `kid in the heart` of its audience. The two new faces Neha Marda in the role of the female lead and Karan Rai in the character portrayal of the male lead looked absolutely excited about their new venture in the Sahara Pariwaar.
In the later part however with the development of the story Sachin Verma and Shilpa Shinde replaced their characters. In the later part of the soap the show moved towards a family drama rather than portraying the campus image. It had left behind its original leads also for the reason that the former characters were too young to play the married roles and it would have turned out to be ridiculous to expect them to part of the post leap.
Although the show was never a major TRP grosser but still it managed to put in a show with lots of variation not only in the storyline but also in the faces of character portrayals. These types of inspiring shows are much in demand compared to the monotonous family dramas with lot of pretension and vampishness. It inspires the ideal youngsters of today who despite being ambitious do not have the time or patience to wallow in self-pity and move on in life. Above all the show was indeed a great one and had the young and the old glued to their television sets whenever the soap was aired on Sahara One channel.
