Ruby Bhatia, Indian Model Ruby Bhatia is known one of the most popular Video Jockey of the India. Ruby was born and brought up in a suburb in Toronto called Ajax in Ontorio, in Canada. Ruby Bhatia used to be a VJ for the music television, Channel [V] and anchored BPL Oye.

Ruby Bhatia was renowned for her comical pranks which she played on unsuspicious people. As she grew up, she also learned to excel in various fields like academies, politics, debating, the performing arts, aerobics, swimming and socio-cultural leadership. After completing her graduation in Arts with a major in Philosophy she has taken extensive training in the art of debating and public speaking from various skilled teachers over a score of years. Ruby also featured in many Hindi serials like Kasauti Zindagi Kii and movies.

Early Life of Ruby Bhatia
Ruby Bhatia was born on November 1, 1973, in a Punjabi family to the parents Harbans and Premlata Bhatia, based in Canada. Her uncle and aunt, Prem Krishan and Saroj Bhatia, adopted her at the age of 3 and she was brought up in a small town in Ajax, Ontario. She learned ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance from The Royal Academy of Dance, in Toronto. At the tender age of 19 she was crowned the title of Miss India-Canada 1993 and immediately flew down to Mumbai to pursue a prolific career in media and entertainment. Upon arrival in the city of dreams, this professionally trained dancer was spotted and picked up by Star TV to become a full-time anchor-person on its revolutionary music channel, Channel [V].

Ruby Bhatia became on of the most renowned VJs in a short period of time. She became the new face of the generation and created waves wherever she went with her refreshingly effortless, natural and humorous approach to television. She interviewed people from all walks of life including the top-notch celebrities to the ordinary person on the street. In the year 1996 she hosted two of the most important events of India, the first being the Filmfare Awards and the second one, the world`s biggest televised event, Miss World.

Since that time this sparkling performer has done everything under the stars as far as the world of showbiz is concerned. Ruby Bhatia has not only played lead roles in daily soaps but has also been endorsing the most prestigious products in multimedia advertisements. She has also made her presence in Bollywood chartbusters and has also lent her voice in hugely successful pop music albums. Ruby has played host to all kinds of concerts and corporate events. She has created history in the television industry by being the first woman ever to host the three hours of live television everyday at the major international cricket tournament, the ICC Champions Trophy 2002.

Ruby Bhatia also appeared in the serial Kasauti Zindagi Ki in the character portrayal of Menka Bose.

Personal Life of Ruby Bhatia
Arc lights, grease paint, glamour... but, in reality, her life has not been the proverbial fairy-tale. Reared by the affection of adopted parents and ridiculed by classmates at school, she has borne the brunt of teenage heartbreak and, later, divorce after a short marriage. However in her personal life Ruby Bhatia is a very happy and contented individual. Giving back to society is something what she lives for. Ruby Bhatia was a founding member of The Crusade Against Tobacco, a celebrity movement propagating the ill effects of tobacco. Presently she is a trustee of CHIP (Children in Pain), which is an NGO aiming at the provision of basic education and healthcare to underprivileged women and children. Ruby got married to Ajit Dutta.
