Revansiddha Temple

Revansiddha Temple, an ancient Hindu temple, dedicated to Lord Sri dev Revansiddhanath. He was a nath panthiya yogi. The temple said to have been built in the 16th century is located at a distance of almost three furlongs away from Renavi village. It is positioned on the southern side of the side of the Chiplun-Karhad-Bijapur road in the Indian state of Maharashtra. On the eastern side of this sacred shrine is Urul Siddh and to the western is a tunnel known as Visvaradya.

According to a story the Revan Mountain was earlier composed of five metals. White crystals are found in abundance on the mountain that was employed as bhasma by the devotees. Apart from this soils of different colours are also found. It is believed that formerly there were 84 tirhas or holy centres on this sacred mountain but now all except six all have disappeared. Presently the one in existence are a gomukh, two haranyak and three flower gardens.

Festivals of Revansiddha Temple
Revansiddha Temple celebrates a yearly fair in the month of February on the day of Maha Shivaratri. The festival attracts thousands of devotees from different places who come here to offer worship to the Lord.
