Ramdhura has recently emerged as an enchanting tourist place in the northern Bengal. It is situated at about seven kilometres from Delo. It offers a spellbinding view of Kanchenjunga and Teesta River. The place is embraced by pine forest where the clouds meander wondrously. Magnificent view of illuminated Kalimpong at night adds to the charm of Ramdhura.

Tourism in Ramdhura
Ramdhura is ideal for short trekking or mountaineering trips. It also houses the British-built Jalsa Bungalow, constructed in the year 1930. This beautiful bungalow forms another attraction of Ramdhura. Trekking around the Cinchona plantation and visiting Chinchona Godown are other alluring activities for tourists in Ramdhura. The place also hosts a pilgrimage site including Mahadev Dham temple. Hanuman Tok is a viewpoint in Ramdhura that offers a splendid view of valleys and mountains.

Ramdhura, North Bengal Ramdhura forms the centre from where a few more beautiful tourist sites can be reached including Delo Nature Park, Rikissum, Algarah Bazar, Sillery Gaon, Icchey Gaon, Lava, Pedong, Loleygaon, Kalimpong and Rishyap. Sightseeing in Icchey Gaon and Sillery can be a memorable experience. Ramitey Dara, located near Icchey Gaon is known for its longest view of Teesta River. Valley of Silence, Damsang Fort and Tinchuley are other delightful view points.

A walk along the Ramdhura village watching the village life can be another unique experience. A tour around the forest, amidst Chinchona trees, is pleasing for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Other cherished activities of Ramdhura tourism include paragliding, river rafting in Teesta River, riverbed hiking and rock-climbing.

Ramdhura in Different Seasons
Ramdhura can be visited anytime. However, the winter season provides the most mesmerizing view and ambience. Sunrise in winters creates bewitching view where snow capped Kanchenjungha sparkles under the golden rays.

Visiting Ramdhura in summer becomes appeasing in its pleasantly cool weather, an escape from scorching heat of summer. During monsoon, the place takes up yet another enchanting appearance where the clouds wander around the village. Ramdhura also provides good and comforting accommodation and many other facilities to the tourists.

The food near Ramdhura is essentially Indian. The food is home cooked and the ingredients are mostly locally sourced and freshly plucked from local farm. Adventure based tour like Paragliding; Rafting and Rock climbing can be arranged from here.
