The teen sensation Rajat Tokas has created wave on the small screen in the recent times with the character portrayal of the young Prithviraj Chauhan in the historical soap `Dharti Ka Veer-Prithviraj Chauhan`. He has not even established his foot firmly in the industry and is already overwhelmed by the response that he has received through this role.
This extremely talented actor was born on 19th July in the year 1993 in the region of Munirka situated in the capital of the Indian subcontinent. His father is a swimming coach as well as serves the Indian Sports Authority in the designation of an officer. His mother is a housewife. He was studying in Hopes Hall Foundation School, which is situated in R.K. Puram in New Delhi but due to his hectic schedule he had to leave school and is currently studying through coorespondence.
Rajat Tokas had his first brush with the glamour world at a very tender age. Gradually he moves on to appear in many commercials like ESPN Sports campaign aqnd other commercials like Pudin Hara and W.H.O. He has also appeared in some music videos among which the most popular ones are `Raksha Bandhan`, `Ek Narm Jehi Mudiyad Kudi` and `Mehndi`. He has also been an active participant of the theater group and has been a part of popular plays like `Shatrang`, `Itni Si Khushi`, `Baas Baat Itni Si Hain` and `Fir Late`. His acting capability is not limited to his appearance in stage performances and commercials. He had also starred in movies like `Prerna`, `Sajiv-Nirjiv`, `W.H.O.`, `Kathputli` and `Godh Liye Dadaji`. The small screen shows in which he meted out splendid performances is also huge in number and they include `Sai Baba`, `Abhivyakti`, `Mera Dost`, `Rahul`, `Hey Hawain`, `Jadui Chiraag`, `Bango`, Lighthouse for Children` and `Ek Nazar Ki Tamanna`. But the show, which shot him to limelight, was `Prithviraj Chauhan`. He has also received many awards for this role of his in various prestigious awards ceremonies like Indian Television Awards and Star Parivaar Awards. Rajat Tokas claims that he is fortunate enough to be a part of this show and that it will also help him to display his acting skills in front of the global audience. About his homework for the show he claimed that he has learnt `karate` or martial arts and sword fighting for the show. The fact that he knew the art of horse riding and was also a swimming champ helped him to an extreme extent in the show, which deals with the life of a great Indian monarch. The television viewers are just amazed to know that at just the age of 15 years he went with his father to Mumbai to audition for the religious show `Sai Baba` and bagged the role of Sai Baba`s brother Tantya in the same show. The makers of the show were so impressed by the acting potential of Rajat that they decided to launch him in their new show `Dharti Ka Veer-Prithviraj Chauhan` in the role of teen Prithviraj. He received such a huge response for this role of his that the makers were inspired to increase his screen presence by a few more episodes.
At present Rajat Tokas is shooting for his new serial `Dharamveer`` which is slated to release in the month of March 2008. He also aims to make an entry into the Bollywood Film Industry with a bang and will star in feels if he gets a role of substance. One will be surprised to know that this actor actually aims to go as far as the Oscars. He does not consider anything impossible in his life and thinks that every youngster can actually achieve what he has done in his age.
