Nikita Anand was born in a Punjabi family in Jalandhar, Punjab, India in 1983. Brigadier S.S. Anand, a doctor in the Indian Army was her father and because of his frequent transfers, Nikita had to study in different schools. Nikita had been student of schools including St. Mary`s Pune, Maharashtra; Bishop Cottons, Ranchi, Jharkhand; Cathedral and John Connon, Bombay and finally NIFT, Delhi. She has a three years elder brother named Jasneet. She has been an excellent student of fashion designing and I.T. at NIFT.
Only at the age of 19 Nikita Anand was crowned Miss India 2003, thus taking over the title from Neha Dhupia. Nikita Anand rightly represented India in the Miss Universe Pageant in Panama City, Panama. In 2004 she handed over her title to Tanushree Dutta. She attended the inaugural function of V.Rebel. She wishes to bring change in the delays in the Justice system of India. Nikita Anand likes to read fiction novels in her leisure time and likes to work out even on busy movie shoots. Nikita Anand made her foray on the glitter screen with the Life Mein Kabhie Kabhie and Dil Dosti etc. Nikita Anand has also received formal training in singing.
