Eating plenty of fruit, vegetables and fish keep lungs healthy. A good amount of fresh vegetable juices are a good way to start healing, along with adding a variety of spices such as ginger, onions and garlic. The emphasis should be on eating as healthy a diet as possible. Eliminate allergic food from the diet, such as all dairy products, chocolates, fish, tomatoes, citrus fruits, banana, guava, grapes, fried and heavy food. Cut out irritants like tea, coffee, spices, alcohol, tobacco, salt, sugar, vinegar etc. Take light, nutritious and balanced diet rich in fibre, low in protein and fat comprising vegetables, fruits, sprouts, eating little at a time but more frequently - also drink a lot of water.

Asthma is a common respiratory ailment. There seems to be no permanent cure for asthma in the world. For long term relief or cure the sufferers should follow the principles of Naturopathy and Yoga.
