Narwar Fort is located at Narwar in Madhya Pradesh on the top of a hill of Vindhya Range. It is situated at an altitude of 500 feet above ground level and spread over an area of 8 sq. km. The fort is believed to have been built by the Kachwaha Rajputs, when they occupied Narwar in 10th century. Most of the parts of the fort are now in ruins. Nearby tourist attractions of this fort are Jai Stambha, Sati monument, Ladu bungalow, Chhip Mahal, Makardwaj Tal, Kacheri mahal, Sikandar Lodi`s Mosque, Shehenshah Anas Khan Joshi`s Tomb and Jail Kambha.
Architecture of Narwar Fort
The interior part of the fort is divided by four cross walls into four "ahata" and "dholaahata". The architecture of the fort and palaces exhibits Rajput style with flat ceiling, fluted columns and multifold arches. The inner walls of the palaces are decorated with bright paint and glass beads.

Vidisha Railway Station and Raisen International Airport are the nearest to visit this fort. National Highway 19 connects Narwar to other parts of the state.
