Naranapuram

Naranapuram is a panchayat town situated in the Tamil Nadu state of India. It is located in the Virudhunagar district of the state. The town is home to people of all communities. Here people are mainly engaged in firework factories. Some people are involved in other business activities as well. The official language of the town is Tamil.

On the basis of 2001 India census, Naranapuram had a population of 9342 of which males constitute 49% and females 51%. In Naranapuram, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. Naranapuram Census Town has total administration over 3,303 houses to which it supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

As per the report of the same year, the average literacy rate of the town was 63% which is higher than the national average of 59.5%. The male literacy rate was 73%, and female was 55%. Attractions of Naranapuram
The town is home to a number of temples including Shri Navaneetha Krishnan temple, Kaliyamman Kovil, Muniyasamy Kovil, Alagammal Kovil and Vadakathiyamman Kovil. Shri Navaneetha Krishnan temple is one Hindu templein Naranapuram which is managed by Kammavar community of the village.

The festival of Krishna Jayanthi is popular among both the tourists and locals. During the festival, the statue of God Krishna is taken around the village in Radha. The streets are cleaned and the roads are decorated with Rangoli.

The town is well connected via train. The nearby railheads of Naranapuram are Tiruttangal Railway Station and Sivakasi Railway Station.
