In resent days of booming new channels, there is one more from NDTV which is called NDTV Imagine. In an attempt to be different from new and existing channels, NDTV Imagine has come up with a show with a unique concept. It is titled `Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan`. The basic concept of the programme is very simple. Choreographer Saroj Khan will teach aspiring dancers how to groove like her. This is Saroj`s second tryst with television, after `Nach Baliye`. Nach Baliye was a dance competition amongst the celebrity couples. But this time Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan is not like the common reality shows. This is not a competition, there are no auditions. Saroj khan teaches dance on television, and thus viewers learn how to dance. The classes take place at 7 pm from Monday to Friday whereas the dance mela tournament takes place at Saturday 7 pm.
By this programme anyone can imagine the Queen of Bollywood dance-Saroj Khan coming into the living room every evening to teach how to dance like the stars. It is a lesser known fact that she choreographed her first song at the age of 13. Over the past five decades, she has choreographed top stars in the Indian film industry and has delivered an unbeatable number of hits. The undisputed `Masterji` of choreography has made all leading ladies from Nutan to Sridevi, from Madhuri Dixit to Aishwarya Rai dance to her steps. Her knowledge of the art of dance is incomparable.
In this programme `Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan` step by step, she will teach the participants how to dance on some of the biggest Bollywood hit numbers. Saroj Khan will teach students across all age groups, for both men and women. In one word she has something for each and everyone in the show. Saroj Khan brings with her not only the expertise but also the flair that has kept her going for so many decades in the film industry. Rustic but witty repartees from her as she teaches the students, her own inputs on grace, difference between dance forms, correct posture and movements add to this entertaining way of learning Dance.
This show will eventually teach dances based on wedding themed songs like Mehndi, Sangeet, Sagai, and different dance styles like Indian Jive, Salsa, Waltz, Classical, Mujra, etc. in recent days favourite television stars are also learning from the masterji Saroj Khan.
The head teacher of the programme is Saroj Khan, Co-teacher only for duet song is Manish, and some of the new teachers are Yogsh, Jamin and Bhavna. The name of the students can be mentioned as Swati, Meenakshi Desai, Bhakti, Shivam, Sagar, Yogesh, Devendra, Sneha, Urmin, Silky, Neha, Deepak, Siddesh, Tej, Saloni, and Nikita. Some other participants are also there namely Nirmalbhai, Sharad and Divyanka. Some are featured as guest such as Sweta Salve, Gaurav Chopra, Delnaz Paul, Manav Gohil, Amisha Patel, Sanjeeda and Aamir.
