Muthur is a small settlement situated in Erode district of the southern state of India, Tamil Nadu.

Muthur is covering an area of 33 square kilometres, Muthur is situated in the southwest of Sivagiri at a distance of 10 km. and in the southeast of Chennimalai at a distance of 18 km. Kollankoil surrounds it in the north, Vellakovil at a distance of 13 kilometres in the south, Kangeyam at a distance of 19 kilometres in the west and Kodumudi at a distance of 17 kilometres in the east.
