Monchasa is located on the banks of Bagda River in the remote village of Paushi, in East Midnapur district or Purba Medinipur District of West Bengal.

Ishani and Naitri are the two water tanks in Monchasa. In these two water tanks there is an availability of number of fishes like Rui, Katla, Mrigel, Kalbous, Carp, Telapia, Puti, Mourala. They are bred completely naturally. "Sahajiya" has been built, which is a platform for local cultural performances as Chhau Dance, Raibneshe Yatra Pala, Baul Fakir Darbesh and other programmes of rural Bengal. Bahiri Temple dates back to the medieval era Bengal. It is just a few kilometres from Monchasha. Barghobhima Temple, a palace, a museum and Rakhit Bati are the popular tourist attraction in Monchasha.
