Mohit Suri, Bollywood DirectorMohit Suri is a prominent Indian film director known for directing many successful Bollywood films like Aashiqui 2, Awarapan and others. Born on 11th April 1981, he is a member of the Bhatt family of Bollywood. He is the nephew of noted film director Mahesh Bhatt and the cousin of film actors Pooja Bhatt and Emraan Hashmi. Many of his films have been applauded by the critics earning him the recognition of an accomplished film director.

Career of Mohit Suri
Mohit Suri began his film career as an assistant director during which he worked for films like Kasoor, Awara Paagal Deewana and Footpath. He marked his debut in the Hindi film industry as a director with the Bollywood flick Zeher in the year 2005. The film garnered moderate success. Following this, he directed Kalyug which featured his sister Smiley Suri. The film also introduced Kunal Khemu as an adult actor. Kalyug received much appreciation and was marked as a critical as well as commercial success. In 2006 he came up with the movie Woh Lamhe which once again met positive reviews from critics but could not performe well at the box office. His 2007 venture was Awarapan starring Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. The movie, inspired from a Korean film A Bittersweet Life, was a commercial and critical success and rendered further fame to the director. In 2009 he directed Raaz - The Mystery Continues featuring Emraan Hashmi and Kangna Ranaut which was a sequel of the 2002 supernatural horror film Raaz. In the year 2010 his film Crook released which was based on the sensitive issue of racial attacks on Indian students in Australia. Mohit Suri also directed the sequel of 2004 film Murder titled Murder 2 which released in 2011. The film was substantially successful. He marked another huge success in 2013 with his film Aashiqui 2 which turned out to be blockbuster with mesmerizing music. The film featured Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. In 2014 he came up with the romantic thriller film Ek Villain starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in lead roles. He has also penned the story for a few films like Crook: It`s Good To Be Bad, Raaz - The Mystery Continues, Kalyug and Zeher.
