He started his career on television as an assistant director to B.P. Singh for C.I.D. and later for `Achanak 37 Saal Baad`. He played the character of Saloni`s boyfriend in the serial Just Mohabbat. In the much popular K-series soap Kkusum, he played the role of a rich spoilt brat Nakul who was head over heels in love with the daughter of the renowned industrialist Abhay Kapoor, Kali Kapoor. He was also playing a comic role in the serial Shararat. He also appeared in a host of commercials including Levi`s BPL, Chloromint, Fun Republic, Frooti. But the major break in his career came when he was offered the role of Yudi/Prem in the popular soap `Kasauti Zindagi Ki` under Balaji Productions.
He shot to the limelight within a very short span with his character. He had never imagined that this role would get such a huge response in spite of the buzz after a few days of shoot that this character is going to rock like anything. The main reason for the popularity of this character is because Yudi/Prem had his own sense of humor, style and persona.
