The temple of Manjushri, also known as Jampe Lhakhang is located in Alchi in Leh district of J&K. The temple is assumed to date back to 12th or 13th centuries. It is near the Lotsawa Lha Khang. This square-shaped temple houses four images of Manjushri, an illustrious Bodhisattva. The murals of the temple conform to the theme of the thousand-Buddha while gods and goddesses rule the wall place.
