Manalurpet

Manalurpet also called Manalurpettai is a `panchayat town` situated in the Viluppuram district of the southern state of India, Tamil Nadu. The nearby towns are Veraiyur of Thiruvannamalai District, Pakkam and Adanur. The nearest railway station is the Tandarai Railway Station and Tirukoilur Railway Station and the nearest airport is the Chennai International Airport.

Tiruvannamalai is located at a distance of 25 kms and Tirukoilur, a tourist destination on the Viluppuram-Thiruvannamalai State Highway is located at a distance of 15 kms.from Manalurpet. The town is dotted with numerous, temples; important ones include `Lord Agastheeswara Temple`, `Lord Perumal Temple` and `Lord Sani Bhagavan Temple`.

As per the 2001 India Census report Manalurpet had a small population of 7401. Males account for 51% of the population and females account for 49% of the population.
