Early life of Mallika Srinivasan
Mallika Srinivasan was born on November 19, 1959 as the eldest daughter of industrialist A Sivasailam. She has been brilliant in academics. She did her in MA (econometrics) from University of Madras. She did her MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Career of Mallika Srinivasan
She planned to join the family business in the year 1986. Then she was made the General Manager of Tafe (Tractors and Farm Equipment) Company. She brought about a major transformation under the expert guidance of her father and the whole hearted support of the team. She converted Tafe into a technology-oriented company and made it the initial choice of the farmers.
The Company is the leading tractor manufacturer, but also expanded its area of operations. It is also into other businesses like engineering plastics, panel instruments, automotive batteries gears, hydraulic pumps, and farm implements. She is also the president of premier industrial bodies like Tractor Manufacturers Association and the Madras Management Association. She is the first lady to have assumed the role of a president of the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She is also a member of the governing board of the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
She joined Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd as a Trainee in October 198. She worked in various positions, including as Executive Assistant to the Chairman and Managing Director, General Manager (Planning and Coordination), Vice President and Vice Chairman. She has also been the Chairman and Director of the United Nilgiri Tea Estates Company Limited since January 25, 2011.
She serves as Chairperson of the Board of Directors at Tafe Reach Ltd. She has been a Non Executive Director of Tata Global Beverages Limited since October 22, 2008. She serves as a Director of Tafe Access Ltd. and Tafe Motors And Tractors Limited. She also holds the post of Director of AGCO Corporation. She has been involved with various industry and trade bodies which include President of the Tractor Manufacturers` Association.

Married to Venu Srinivasan, the CMD of TVS Motor, she is living happily with their two children.
