The pretty and charming actress Malini Kapoor essayed the role of Zeenat in `Zaara-Pyar Ki Saugat`. She plays a very interesting character in the soap and the response of the audience has also been very encouraging. In fact it is a very strong character where the sisters share a very close bond. She cannot conceive a baby in the soap and tells her sister to conceive the child of her husband. She also claims that she is free to do a lot of experimentation with the character. According to her statement, "There is a lot to portray through this character". The reason she claims that the show is different because it is set in the backdrop of a Muslim family. She was also very comfortable speaking Urdu and picked it up at a very fast pace.

Backed by an honours degree in the subject of English and a Traveling and Tourism degree Malini Kapoor started her journey to the telly town but destiny had other plans in store for her and she found herself attracting the audience by her power oriented performances. She is also very much interested in music and Djing happened in her career just by chance. She has an enviable collection of various genres of music. She also loves traveling and has traveled the whole of Europe and South East Asia. The actress is also involved in lots of social activities and visits the Missionaries of Charity Orphanage at Vile Parle in the Western part of the tinsel town. Back home in Kolkata as well she was a regular visitor of this orphanage home. She also harbors the dream of adopting a girl child one day in her life. She does not have any plans for marriage in the near future and wants to concentrate wholly on her career so that she can build up her finances to rear a child.
