Ladwa

Ladwa is an important city situated in the Kurukshetra district of Haryana. It is situated in the west of Kurukshetra at a distance of 15 km. on the Yamnagar - Karnal road. Shahbad and Radaur are located near Ladwa.

This town is well connected to important cities and towns in the state. The nearest airport is at Chandigarh and the nearest railway station is at Kurukshetra. Situated between 29.07 degree North latitude and 75.8 degree East longitude, it has an average elevation of 209 metres (685 feet) above mean sea level.

The Indian census report of 2001 states that Ladwa had a population of 22439. Males constitute 53% of the population and females comprises of 47% of the population. In Ladwa 12% of the population is less than six years of age. The average literacy rate of Ladwa is 71%, which is higher than the national average literacy rate, which is 59.5%.
