The reservoir, Markonahalli dam, has been constructed near Shimsha, which is also located in the same distance. According other source also, a consecrated site of Jain has been found here. It is built in devotion of Bhagvan Parshwanatha.

Deepambudhi Lake is the name of an ancient lake, located almost twenty km from Kunigal.
