Born on 22nd June 1982 in Mumbai he did his schooling from St Xavier`s School, Andheri. He was one of the finalists of Mr. Grasim India in 2004. Before acting, he started out as a student of chemical engineering from Bombay Institute of Technology. He also worked with Omang Kumar in his Event management company for a year. He remained as a participant amongst the top five finalists of the Mr. India 2004.
Karan got his first breakthrough in the television as a VJ in ZEE Music. He even hosted shows, interviewing notable celebrities of the film industry. He got his first break in the STAR Plus channel with the serial `Saarthi`. He played the lead role in the hit serial. After being a part of the serial for almost two years he left it for his new serial Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni in STAR Plus. Currently he is working in the Rajshri Productions show Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli which is being aired on Zee TV.
