Jetia is a census town in the North 24 Parganas district in the eastern state of West Bengal. It comes under the Barrackpore subdivision and the Bijpur police station looks after the law and order of the town.
As per the India census town published in 2001, Jetia had a population of 5510. Males constitute 51% of the population and females account for 49% of the population. In Jetia, 7% of the population is less than six years of age. The census report of 2001 also puts forward the literacy rate of the place. The average literacy rate of Jetia is 85%, which is higher than the national average rate of 59.5%. To be specific, the male literacy rate is 88% and the female literacy rate is 82%.
