Indergarh is a small town and a nagar panchayat in Datia district of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The administrative headquarters of the Datia district is in the town of Datia, which lies in the north of Indergarh at a distance of 35 km. The nearest access points are the airport at Gwalior and the Datia Railway Station.

The census report of India published in 2001 states that the population of 14,596. Males constitute 54% of the population and females` account for 46% of the population. In Indergarh, 16% of the population is less than six years of age. The literacy rate of Indergarh as published in the census report is 63%. This is an indication of progression because literacy rate is a parameter for development. The national average literacy rate is 59.5%. To be specific, the male literacy rate is 71% and the female literacy rate is 53%.
