Inam Karur

Inam Karur is a small town situated in Karur District of the southern state of India, Tamil Nadu. It is situated in the outskirts of the town of Karur. Inam Karur is situated in the northeast of Panchamadevi. Tiruchirapalli, is situated in the northwest of Inam Karur at a distance of 76 km. and Erode is situated in the southeast at a distance of 53 km. from Inam Karur. The town is well connected to other places of the state. The nearest airport is at Tiruchirapalli and the nearest railway station is the Karur Junction Railway Station. Roads from Karur also connect Inam Karur.

The 2001 India census report states that Inam Karur had a population of 45, 254. Males and females constitute an equal proportion of the population. In Inam Karur, 11% of the population is less than six years of age. The average literacy rate of the town as mentioned in the 2001 census report is 75%.
