Illuminating Vishuddha ChakraIn Vishuddha Chakra is the body that was asleep or in a state of suspended animation gradually awakens revitalized, into full invigorating life. Its physical and spiritual experiences have left it drained of physical desire, but full of knowledge of its own spirituality. The signposts for illuminating the throat chakra are as follows:

Symbol: The symbol of this chakra is the moon which is waning. Here it is almost in full size but a dark crescent has appeared. A close look at the sky reflects the faint outline of this dark shadowy crescent. Though one is experiencing the light but he is aware that it will soon be obscured.

Colour: The colour of the chakra is ivory which has very lustrous effect. Yet the white purity that one brings with him is tinged with the yellowness of age and earthiness.

Emotion: The emotion of the chakra is gentleness. Here one comes from a place where there is no evil or pain. They believe that by bringing this gentleness into the world and sharing with others.

Element: The element here is creation. The ultimate life force with which one has evolved is the underlying, most powerful and most pure force in the universe. It has awesome power but it is silent and motionless.

Sound: The sound of the chakra is of a flute that is lightly played. Each note is lower than the previous one. This note is continuously repeated. It represents the downward progression that one is making.

The mantra here is HOM. In total eight repetitions of the notes bring one from the high eerie sound down to the low earth sound.

Animal: The animal of the chakra is the white elephant that is surrounded by a herd of similar white elephants. This signifies that when one is in a group he remains more contended. The chakra combines the closeness with the family members along with slight tinge of roughness that develops after understanding the world. The chakra also shows power and strength that is gained from knowledge.

Material: The material of the chakra is ivory. When one obtains this beautifully carved substance it appears to be lustrous white; but if carefully seen it has a tinge of yellow. The yellow makes it even more beautiful, for it is the yellow of the wisdom of age.

Texture: The texture of the chakra is like a fur. It is the underbelly fur that a cat poses and allows one to stroke when it`s contented. It is soft and warm to the touch, but touching it can be dangerous.

Taste: The taste of the chakra is like orange. Initially the taste is light in pure spring water but gradually the taste grows stronger and one can even feel the texture of the fruit in his mouth.

God: The god of this chakra is Shadeshiva. The Vishuddha Chakra controls all the senses and limbs of the body. It is a amalgamation of the mind and action and with his five heads Shadeshiva experiences individualistically the five senses.

In each hand he holds weapons and also holds a beautiful cobra. The noose is also there that symbolizes death. His other hands offer positive emotions like goodness, courage to try again, and firmness. The illuminated Shadeshiva is the main cause for the goddess of the chakra.
