The district headquarters is in the town of Badaun which is located in the southeast at a distance of 80 km. from Gunnaur. The other neighbouring towns of Gunnaur are Babrala, Rajpura, Bahjoi, Narora and Sankra. Aligarh, the city of culture and heritage is located at a distance of 60 km from Gunnaur. Babrala Railway Station and Indira Gandhi International Airport are the nearest railway station and airport, which connects Gunnaur to other places in the state. Geographically, the town is located between 28.25° North latitude and 78.43° East longitude at an average elevation of 170 metres (557 feet) above mean sea level.
