Gottikere is a town in Bangalore district of the southern state of India, Karnataka. The 2001 India census report states that Gottikere had a population of 11,149. Males comprise 54% of the population and females constitute 46% of the population. In Gottikere, 12% of the population is less than six years of age. Statistics reveal that Gottikere has an average literacy rate of 70%, which is higher than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy count accounts for 75% of the population and female literacy rate is 63%.
