Gogapur
Gogapur is a small census town situated in the northern part of Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh.
According to the 2001 census report, Gogapur had a small population of 6371 inhabitants. Males constitute 51% of the population and females constitute 49% of the population. In Gogapur, 16% of the population is less than six years of age. The town has an average literacy rate of 65% which is higher than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 76% and the female literacy rate is 54%.
Gambhir River flows through this charming town. Some of the major attractions in the neighbourhood include Ujjain Observatory, Sthirman Ganesh Temple, Shri Avanti Parshwanath Teerth and Bhartrihari Caves.
