The male literacy rate is 79% and the female literacy rate is 67%.
Tadoba - Andharai Tiger Reserve, Bhamragarh Wildlife Sanctuary and Chaprala Wildlife Sanctuary are major wildlife sanctuaries in the district, which are easily accessible from Ghugus. The Tadoba Museum is also an exciting destination.
