Gevrai

Situated on NH 211 Gevrai is a taluk headquarters in Beed district of the western state of India, Maharastra. It is bounded by Nandur in the north at a distance of 18 km., Nandalgaon in the southeast at a distance of 27 km., Dhondrai in the west at a distance of 10 km. and Aurangabad in the northwest at a distance of 82 km. Pune Lohegaon Airport and Aurangabad Airport are the nearest airport. The Ahmednagar Railway station is the nearest railway station. The geographical location of this place is between 19.16° North latitude and 75.45° East longitude at a height of 465 metres (1528 feet) above mean sea level.

According to the 2001 census report, Gevrai had a population of 28,492. Males constitute 52% of the population and females account for 48 % of the population.
