Edaganasalai is a town in Salem district in the southern state of India, Tamil Nadu. The local administration of the place is looked after by a panchayat.

As per the 2001 census report, Edaganasalai had a population of 29,593 inhabitants. Males constitute 54% and females 46% of the population. Twelve percent of the population is less than six years of age in Edaganasalai. The average literacy rate of the town is 50%, which is lower than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 59% while the female literacy rate is 39%.
