Akola District
Akola District is a district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The city of Akola is the district headquarters. Akola district forms the central part of Amravati Division, which was the former British Raj Berar Province. The area of Akola District is 5,431 square kilometers. It is bounded on the north by Amravati District, to the east by Amravati District and by Washim District, to the south by Washim District, and to the west by Buldhana District. Washim was earlier a part of Akola till 1999.

Buldhana District
Buldhana is a district in the Amravati division of Maharashtra in western India. It is situated at the westernmost border of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra and is 500 km from the state capital, Mumbai. Madhya Pradesh bounds it on the north, Akola district, Washim district, and Amravati district on the east, Jalna district on the south, and Jalgaon district and Aurangabad district on the west. Yavatmal District
Yavatmal district is formerly known as Yeotmal. It is a district of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is located in the region of Vidarbha, in the east-central part of the state. Vidarbha is the eastern region of Maharashtra, comprising Nagpur Division and Amravati Division. It occupies 31.6 percent of total area and holds 21.3 percent of total population of Maharashtra. This region borders the state of Madhya Pradesh to the north, Chhattisgarh to the east, Telangana to the south and Marathwada and Khandesh region of Maharashtra to the west. It is situated in central part of ancient India. Vidarbha has its own rich cultural and historical background distinct from rest of Maharashtra. The largest city in Vidarbha is Nagpur, which is now in Maharashtra. A majority of Vidarbhians speak Marathi language and Varhadi-a dialect of Marathi. Yavatmal town is the administrative headquarters of this district. The incumbent District Collector is Ashwin Mudgal.

Washim District
Washim is a district in Maharashtra with its headquarters at Washim. The area of the district is 5,150 square km.
