Deglur

Deglur is a city and a municipal council in Nanded district in the western state of India, Maharastra.

Deglur is a taluka district in Nanded district of Maharashtra. Located at the south of Nanded district it is ideally situated near the Nizamabad district of Andhra Pradesh. Deglur is 6 km. from Madnur and 13 km. northeast of Karadkhel. in Maharashtra. The place has a good transportation system. The nearest airport is the Hyderabad airport and the nearest railway station is the Bodhan Railway Station.

According to the 2001 census report, Deglur in Maharashtra had a population of 48,024 inhabitants. Males constitute 51% of the population where as the females constitute 49% of the population. In Deglur, 14% of the population is less than six years of age. It has an average literacy rate of 64% higher than the national average, which is 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 73% while the female literacy rate is 55%.

The stone temple of Lord Siddheshwar at Hottal, located at a distance of 8 km. is of archaeological importance.
